Boston MA (October 14, 2016) – J. Clarke Orzalli, Rear Admiral (Ret.) and a Strategic Business Development executive at DS Government Solutions, a wholly owned subsidiary of Dassault Systemes, Waltham MA, has been elected President of the National Defense Industrial Association’s New England Chapter (www.ndianewengland.org).
Orzalli, a 1978 U.S. Naval Academy graduate, succeeds Paul Serotkin as President of the NDIA/New England Chapter. Orzalli served aboard nuclear submarines and in senior administrative leadership roles during his 34-year naval career. He joined the NDIA/New England Board in 2014.
“I am honored to assume this role with NDIA’s New England Chapter,” said Orzalli. “Under Paul Serotkin’s leadership, the Chapter has grown immensely in its impact and value for our membership. My vision is to see the Chapter strengthen government-industry partnerships in the New England area and create a closer alignment with NDIA national HQ.
“We are working on a slate of events that will cover the interests of our diverse membership, which includes small and large businesses, research and academic institutions and service providers,” Orzalli added. “In addition, I want to take advantage of the unique innovation ecosystem that exists in our region, by reaching out to companies and participating in events and activities that have technologies and capabilities that have not traditionally been applied within the defense industry.”
Also elected to join NDIA/NE’s Board at its September 23 meeting were new Directors:
- Mike DiBiase, Vice President and General Manager of the Command, Control, Communications, Computing, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) line of business for General Dynamics Mission Systems, Taunton MA.
- Jonathan Farnham, Brigadier General (Ret.) and Chief Strategic Officer at Liquid Measurement Systems, Inc., Georgia, VT.
- John Penders, Managing Director, Mainsail Group, Bedford MA.
