NDIA New England recently presented a donation to the Friends of Family Services at Hanscom Air Force Base. The volunteer group supports the Airman and Family Readiness Center which offers a variety of services and programs at no-cost for single and married active-duty military personnel, DoD civilians, retired military personnel and family members. Friends of Family Services provide support to military families through a variety of activities including providing Baby Welcome Baskets for expecting families, backpacks of school supplies for students entering the new school year and by holding monthly events such as drive-through pizza pick-ups and bowling nights. The group also stocks a large supply locker with a variety of household items from vacuums to toasters that base families can borrow if their personal items are delayed in arriving. NDIA New England is proud to give back to our community and support our local military members and their families. Thank you to Friends of Family Services for all the great work that you do!
