On Friday, October 4th, NDIA New England held its fifth annual Veterans charity golf tournament at Chemawa Golf Course in North Attleboro, MA. All the proceeds from this year’s tournament went to the Azimuth Check Foundation, which provides outdoor event opportunities to injured Veterans to foster comradery through events such as hiking, rock-climbing, deep-sea fishing, skiing and sporting events.
We had a great turnout with over 70 golfers teeing off in a shotgun start together on a beautiful fall day. Participants took part in closest to the pin, longest drive, par 3 and putting competitions and prizes were awarded to the first, second, middle of the pack and last place teams. Immediately following golf, a buffet lunch was served and 50/50 and prize raffles were held. Once again, we received tremendous support from our members, friends, companies and individuals who generously sponsored foursomes, holes and donated prizes for the raffles. As a result of all of your generous support, NDIA New England presented Eric Furey, C0-Founder of the Azimuth Check Foundation with a $10,000 donation.
