On Friday, October 3rd, NDIA New England hosted its sixth annual Veterans charity golf tournament at Chemawa Golf Course in North Attleboro, MA. All the proceeds from this year’s tournament went to Operation Stand Down Rhode Island (OSDRI), which offers a wide range of life-changing services for Veterans including supportive permanent and transitional housing, legal and VA benefit representation, intensive case management, basic human needs assistance (food and clothing) and employment training programs.
We had a great turnout as usual with over 70 golfers teeing off in a shotgun start together on a beautiful fall day. Participants took part in closest to the pin, longest drive, par 3 and putting competitions and prizes were awarded to the first, second, and middle of the pack. Immediately following golf, a buffet lunch was served, and raffle drawings were held. Once again, we received tremendous support from our members, friends, companies and individuals who generously sponsored foursomes, holes and donated prizes for the raffles. This year we were happy to have members of OSDRI play in the tournament, and as a result of your generous support we were able to provide them with a $10,000 donation.
