NDIA New England Secretary Chris Brouady

Chris is responsible for the Contracts, Security, and Intellectual Property departments at Aptima, Inc., a small business located in Woburn, MA. In addition to providing expertise in FAR/DFARS compliance and proposal oversight, Chris leads Aptima’s Export Compliance Program and works closely with Aptima’s technical staff on protecting intellectual property.

Chris has over 25 years of experience in Contract and Subcontract negotiation and administration, intellectual property agreements and proposal pricing, as well as 15 years of experience with Export Control Regulations and Compliance. Prior to joining Aptima, Chris was a Contracts Administrator at ALPHATECH (now BAE Systems) in Burlington, Massachusetts.

Chris has been a speaker at the National Contract Management Association’s (NCMA) World Congress in Boston, MA in 2019.  Chris and Aptima’s Patent Attorney presented a breakout session entitled, “Know Your Rights” which focused on various Government Rights as well as Patent Rights as it relates to Contractors and the Government.  In addition, Aptima has been a panelist and presenter at the Massachusetts Compliance Alliance Annual Conference.  The panel focused on what it takes to get a Foreign National working at a company and to navigate Deemed Export Law to ensure compliance with the latest regulations.
