NDIA New England Board Member Matthew Bock

Matthew is a Partner in the Boston and New York City offices of the law firm of Middleton & Shrull, LLC, where his practice is dedicated exclusively to international trade law and import, export controls, and economic sanctions regulatory compliance.

Matthew’s experience includes developing and implementing import, export and economic sanctions compliance reviews, audits, testing and programs; conducting import and export classification exercises; determining eligibility for free trade and other preferential tariff agreements; reviewing and recommending import and export valuation methodologies; assisting clients in structuring import and export transactions; completing import, export and economic sanctions regulatory compliance due diligence in the context of mergers and acquisitions and other corporate transactions; making export jurisdiction, classification and license determinations and providing guidance on export license applications and management; and advocating, and filing disclosures, protests and petitions, on behalf of clients with the federal agencies that regulate international trade.

Matthew earned his juris doctorate degree from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles and a master of laws degree (LL.M.) in International Economic Law from the University of London – SOAS. Matthew is a Licensed Customs Broker and is admitted to practice law in Massachusetts, New York and the U.S. Court of International Trade.
