Alan Weary has been Chief Operating Officer at the University of Massachusetts Lowell Applied Research Corporation (UMLARC) since August 2024. Additionally, he serves as Principal Program Manager for the UMLARC–Hanscom Air Force Base and DEVCOM Army Research Lab Partnership Intermediary Agreements. In this role, he drives strategic collaboration on technology transfer activities across state and defense innovation ecosystems.
A 25-year veteran of the United States Air Force, Alan recently retired as the Installation Command Chief at Hanscom Air Force Base, where he stewarded mission readiness, force development, and strategic enterprise alignment and mission execution at one of the Air Force’s premier acquisition hubs.
