NDIA New England Board Member Michael Crones

In Michael’s role as Chief Information Officer at FedPoint, he is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of FedPoint’s evolving technology infrastructure, cloud transformation, software development and quality, user experience, and all facets of the company’s digital strategy.

Prior to FedPoint, Michael was the Chief Information and Chief Security Officer at aPriori Technologies, a SaaS-based software firm used by manufacturers during their engineering processes, where he was responsible for its portfolio of IT services, compliance, and cyber security.

Michael was also as the Chief Information Officer for Draper a Cambridge MA based non-profit focused on national security as well as the Deputy Chief Information Officer for MIT Lincoln Laboratory which is one of the nations premier Federally Funded Research and Develop Centers.

Active in the community, Michael serves on STEM-focused boards at both Bridgewater State University and Merrimack College in addition to being an adjunct faculty member at Boston College where he teaches in the Cybersecurity Policy and Governance graduate program. He actively supports the greater Boston high-tech community through helping to develop alternative and diverse talent sources.

Michael holds his master’s degree from Brandeis University and his bachelor’s degree from Merrimack College.
