NDIA New England Liaison Peter Cokotis

Peter Cokotis is Program Manager of the Massachusetts Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) hosted by the Massachusetts Small Business Development Center (MSBDC) Network which is headquartered at the Isenberg School of Management, University of Massachusetts (UMASS) – Amherst.  Peter has over 25 years of contract management experience in the aerospace and defense industry, primarily with United Technologies Aerospace Systems.  Prior to joining the Massachusetts PTAC in 2000, Peter worked directly on multi-million dollar contracts with customers which included the United States Air Force, various Department of Defense agencies and major aerospace companies such as Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman and Orbital Sciences.  As PTAC Program Manager, Peter leads the *DLA-funded Massachusetts PTAC statewide staff of procurement advisors, assisting over 1,200 active small business clients each year. The Massachusetts PTAC participates in many statewide events – such as the monthly training workshop on General Services Administration (GSA) Contract Schedules held in Boston.  Peter supports small business initiatives with the DoD Northeast Regional Council for Small Business Advocacy; he is a current member of the Association of Procurement Technical Assistance Centers (APTAC), the National Contract Management Association (NCMA) Central Connecticut Chapter and the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) New England Chapter. Peter holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and an MBA from Western New England University – Springfield, Massachusetts.  *The Massachusetts PTAC is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA).
