Dan Lecours is the Vice President of Information Systems at Aptima, Inc. Dan has over 25 years’ experience working for Aptima, holding various Information Systems related positions. In 2005 Dan created the Sales Forecasting and Labor Planning web platforms (AptimaPM) used by Aptima that are still in use today. Dan served as Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) and Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) roles during all of Aptima’s James S. Cogswell Outstanding Industrial Security Achievement Awards in 2007, 2014, and 2022. In the unclassified domain, Dan led the development of Aptima’s Cybersecurity and Compliance program which fully complies with NIST 800-171 and other Department of Defense requirements. Dan led a team of IS and Cyber professionals who established Aptima’s Cybersecurity Program for the purpose of achieving its CMMC Level 2 C3PAO certification in August 2025. Aptima was one of only approximately 200 companies at that time. Prior to joining Aptima, Dan worked as an independent consultant in the IT and Cybersecurity domains. Dan holds a BS in Management and Computer Science from Utica University.
