WID Boston Leadership – Diane Phillips

Diane is the Boston area Vice President for the Joint Research and Development (JRAD) company.  In this role she works with strategic government product development programs and select commercial clients to transition their research and products into successful warfighter programs.

Diane was employed by Battelle Memorial Institute for almost twenty years, starting in Natick, Massachusetts, leaving her Manager position there in 2004 for the Battelle headquarters in Columbus, Ohio until 2015.  She took on positions of increasing responsibility and was a proven Executive Leader in as the Vice President of National Security Product Lines and Business Unit Management.  She has been responsible for up to $200M in revenue and 995 staff and over 20 managers in dozens of regional offices and client locations including; Aberdeen, Arlington, Albuquerque, Colorado Springs, Cleveland, Dayton, Fort Leonard Wood, Hampton, Natick, Patuxent River, San Diego, San Antonio, and Stafford, VA.  She has shown her diversity in management skill as the VP responsible for operations of businesses in CBRNE Defense, Military Public Health, Intelligence Analysis, Operational Support, and Analytical Services.  Diane excelled in operational efficiency while developing emerging service markets for Battelle. 

Diane also served many years as a federal employee working for the Navy Clothing and Textile Research Facility in Natick, MA.
